Final report
Nach 11 Nächten camping auf der Tara Secondary Highschool, viel Arbeit und unzähligen unvergesslichen Momenten , haben wir nun endlich unser Vorhaben überglücklich und stolz beendet: die Tara Secondary Highschool verfügt nun über 2 vollkommen neue temporäre Klassenzimmer. Zusätzlich wird der Boden für zwei weitere bereits vorhandene Zimmer gelegt, so dass der Schule 4 neue Klassenzimmer zur Verfügung stehen!
Insgesamt haben wir 1154,-€ durch Spenden eingenommen. Das sind genau 132 000 Nepal Rupies – und jeder Cent davon ging in das Projekt!
Zusätzlich hat uns KarmaFlights finanziell noch unter die Arme gegriffen, da die Dächer leider doch nicht von einer fremden Organisation finanziert wurden, wie zuvor angenommen. Daher war das Projekt doch sehr viel teurer als geplant.
Und trotzdem blieb dann doch noch ein wenig Geld übrig um auch den Kindern eine Freude zu machen: wir kauften Schulbücher, Stifte, Radiergummis und Hefte für jedes einzelne Kind. Außerdem besitzt die Schule nun 3 große Mülleimer – und wir hoffen sehr dass diese auch genutzt werden, da uns sehr am Herzen liegt, dass die Kinder lernen auf die Natur zu achten.
Leider konnten wir nicht helfen um den Boden zu zementieren, da unser Visum in drei Tagen ausläuft und wir daher uns langsam auf den Weg nach Indien machen müssen.
Der Rektor der Schule hat uns allerdings versichert das dies in den nächsten Tagen erledigt ist, und die Klassenzimmer daher auch schon in baldiger Zeit mit dem Unterricht eingeweiht werden können!

After 11 days of camping at the Tara Secondary Highschool, a lot of work and millions of unforgettable moments, we can proudly announce that we finished our Project: the Tara Secondary High school has now two totally new temporary classrooms. Additional the ground for two more buildings will be laid, so that the school is going to have 4 new classrooms to use!
In total we have reached 1154,-€ with the donations. That are 132 000 Nepal Rupies – and every cent of the donations went to the project!
Extra KarmaFlights helped us with the finances, because the roof tins unfortunately were not given us for free from a foreign organisation as we were expecting. That´s why the project was much more expensive than we were suggesting in the beginning.
Anyway there was still some money left to make also the children a joy: we have bought schoolbooks, pencils, rubbers and notebooks for each child. Besides the school now has three big garbage cans – and we hope that they will be used, because it´s important for us that the children learn to take care of the nature.
Unfortunately we couldn´t stay until we´ve finished to cement the ground, because our Visa is running out in three days so we are slowly moving to India.
The principal of the school assured us that it will be done in the next days so that the classrooms are ready for their first use very soon.
We are looking forward to see the first pictures of that!

I would like to mention you that out of 27 classrooms of our school’s six building blocks, 24 classrooms have been completely damaged and unsafe for running classes due to the devastating Earthquake of April 25th So, we would like to request you to have a school inspection and help to build three Temporary Learning Centre(TLC) and provide a dozen of tarpaulin . The cost for for building semi permanent 4 classroom with metal pipes and re bars will cost more or less 2000 USD as we will be using the local skills and local materials.

A brief history of the school:
The School was founded in February 1964 on the bank of holy Dharmawati river in the close proximity of Gorkha Municipality in chhebetar. The worth remembering name are lates Baniraj panta, Hirdaya Raj Panta, Tekraj Panta,dibya raj Pandey, Man bdr kumal(Gharti lahure), prithvi Raj Panta, chnadra Raj Panta and rudra Raj Pandey who were active to establish Tara primary School at ghunechaur of chhebetar. The most settlers here are Kumal,, Tamang and Dalits. The school was running upto Lower secondary level from 1978 and finally after 20 years, started secondary level of teaching. Later the school was shifted to open space within the Chhebetar garden. Finally, the school has been operating higher secondary class in management faculty for last three years.
Important: Our deadline to go to construct the school is in a week time after raising enough money to fund the project . PLEASE keep supporting us to help building such schools!
